Each packet contains approximately 5 teaspoons of dehydrated sourdough starter. There is enough starter to begin up to three new starters, with a little extra included.

Dehydrating the culture makes it easier to store and ship. Once you are ready to use it, revive the starter according to the instructions and begin regular feedings before baking with it.

The back of the package includes both a QR code and a printed URL that lead to the activation and maintenance instructions.
